If you are worried that you will not be able to get a realistic sound out of this unit, you should not be. The Mega Voices function provides all of the nuances you would expect from a real instrument. For instance, when you play the guitar, you hear the sound of the string, the sound of the pick hitting the string, and other vibrations. These sounds are included in this workstation.

The flexibility of the Yamaha Tyros workstation is mind-blowing. If you want to sound like a virtuoso piano player: no problem. The Tyros uses the same painstakingly recorded sampling as on Yamaha’s Clavinova digital piano to re-create the totally convincing sound of a concert standard grand piano. That’s only one of the many realistic instrument sounds the Yamaha Tyros keyboard gives you – it’s got everything from woodwind to strings and percussion. You can put together an entire band or an orchestra.

The range of sounds isn’t limited to what’s already programmed in though. The sky is the limit with the Yamaha Tyros workstation’s Custom Voice Creation feature. This allows you to record any sound as a new voice and take your music into previously unchartered territory. The Yamaha Tyros keyboard is a mixing desk too. You can mix 16 tracks using a whole range of effects and get a really professional sound, with a few cool mixing skills.

One of the best things about the Yamaha Tyros workstation is that it seems pretty easy to use, even though it’s packed with complicated technology. Recording yourself playing, for example, is as easy as pressing a ‘record’ button. Simple! Connecting it to other devices is a piece of cake and the internet connection is wireless. You can save your music using the hard disc recording facility, export it to your computer’s editing software for re-mixing and import it back to the Yamaha Tyros keyboard. Wicked.

It would be easy to write about the Yamaha Tyros 4 endlessly, since it has so many amazing features. This keyboard can easily be considered one of the best models that is out there.
