Any time a guy and a girl want to see a movie together, it is most likely rare that the guy will suggest a romantic comedy. I do not mean to stereotype or make a generalization, but the studios that produce romantic comedies will be the first to admit that their target demographic with this genre of films is females. That is not to say that men cannot enjoy these films, however.

This article will discuss some of the best romantic comedies from the past 10 years.

It is hard to find a funnier romantic comedy out there than Knocked Up. This movie stars Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl as well as the rest of the Judd Apatow camp, including the always hilarious Paul Rudd.

Another movie that surely must be mentioned on this list for me is Love, Actually. As a guy who normally does not like romantic comedies, I was very hesitant to see this movie, but sure am glad I did. It is a very well done movie, regardless of its genre.

It goes without saying that The 40 Year Old Virgin should be on this list. Steve Carrell stars in his breakout role as a virgin, who is, as the title would suggest, 40 years old. Directed by the great Judd Apatow, this film is filled with laughs.

Another movie to surely mention on this list is Lars And The Real Girl. This is surely not your run of the mill romantic comedy and is all the better for it. Kudos to Ryan Gosling in actually convincing audiences that he is having a relationship with a prosthetic doll.

Another movie that I must mention on any list of guy-friendly romantic comedies would be the independent feature, New York, I Love You. This movie is actually comprised of 10 short films, all by notable directors and each story is unique, yet totally interesting.

These are just a few of the great romantic comedies to be released over the past decade, but certainly there have to be a few more I am forgetting.
