Jaipur, July 12 (PTI) The third Jaipur International Film Festival 2011
(JIFF) will kick-start here from January 28. The four day event will
showcase films in various categories like feature, short, animation and
documentary and the registration will take place between August and
October, Hanu Roj, the festival''s founder director said today.
National Award winning filmmaker Shyam Benegal will attend the event this year, said a press statement released by the organisers today. Besides awards in different categories, JIFF will organise the world premier of the film winning the Best Feature trophy on TV cable networks.
Other awards include Gold Camel for best director, Green Rose for a film which gives a global message, Yellow Rose for an unreleased film and Red Rose award for best released film between October 2009 and October 2010, Roj said. In JIFF-2010, out of 350 entries, JIFF had screened 87 movies with the clearance of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and given away 12 awards in all categories, he said.
