If you have never been to Disneyland, otherwise known as the “Happiest Place On Earth,” then you don’t know what you’re missing. Those who have been there know what I’m talking about. However, Disneyland can be a land of frustration and agony if you don’t plan your visit correctly. I’ll give you a couple of easy tips that will help you avoid some of these potential problems. Let’s get started.

The number one most important thing you should do is stay in a hotel within a short walk from the park. There are plenty of hotels in the area, so this shouldn’t be a problem. There are three hotels owned and operated by Disney in the park itself, so if you can get a room there, that would be just great. But don’t worry if you can’t. Just be sure to check out any potential hotel on the Internet so you can get a good idea of how close it is. With your hotel so close, you’ll be able to take a quite break from all the fun.

Something else to consider is to plan on spending more than only one day in the park. Since there is so much to see and do, it’s virtually impossible to see everything in one day. Since you get discounts for purchasing more days on one ticket, getting an extra day or two isn’t that expensive. With more days on your ticket, you won’t feel rushed, and you can enjoy the park more.

Of course, it’s not too much fun if you happen to go to Disneyland on the same day as everybody else on the planet. Because we’d like to experience the park with as little distractions as possible, it makes sense to visit the park during the week, when it’s not so crowded. There’ll be less people in the restaurants, the lines won’t be so long, and you won’t get too frustrated when they run out of Mickey Mouse hats. Try to avoid the weekends, and go during the week.

These three simple tips should go a long way to helping you make your visit to Disneyland a memorable one that will last you your entire life. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the rides, a short nap will be just a walk away, and you won’t feel rushed as you discover the magic.
