There are many sports that are fast and exciting. Water skiing, polo and auto racing thrill many fans. But for a sport in which men are powered by their own strength and not by motors or animals there’s nothing like hockey. It’s a sport that is fast and often violent and filled with memorable moments that an artist with a passion for the sport tries to capture in a bronze hockey sculpture.

Artists have always been fascinated by the beauty of motion and challenged to capture it. Two thousand years ago a Chinese sculptor was enchanted by the speed and power of a certain horse. The statue was discovered in 1969 and has since become known the world over as the Flying Horse.
