Birthday Party Band; Entertainment For Celebrations
There are dates in a persons life in which everyone, family, friends and even strangers seems to want to celebrate with that person, especially birthdays. Having a five or zero after a number in a birthday is usually cause for a party and a live birthday party band; other times include a sweet 16 or when a person reaches the legal drinking age of 21. To accompany the music, a grand party should have good food and a great location.
A comfortable location for the honored guest and all partygoers will be greatly appreciated in the fun time everyone has at a party marking a birthday or other day of importance. A formal function, such as a wedding, Bat or Bar Mitzvah, First Holy Communion, reunion or dance needs to be put on in a clean hall or banquet center in which people in attendance have enough room to dance if there is a live band performing, mingle and simply spread out from the crowd.
Hiring a live band so that guests are sure to have a good time will complement all the other experiences of the day or evening like eating a good meal. Food is typically an excellent way to bring people together in many traditions and live music will give guests another option besides grazing at the buffet. They could enjoy the sounds of a song, which is often better then people talking, or they could decide to get up and dance.
A live band for a birthday party, depending on the age of the guest of honor, could be their favorite local band that plays cover tunes which is music that other band recorded and they simply present these songs. Or, a band could be an original group that writes and performs their own music and lyrics for several partygoers
Those bands that play other peoples music are further broken down in to two more groups, tribute bands and cover bands. A tribute band pays homage to a certain band by the way they dress and play their music. The world is full of popular tribute bands like the Beatles sound-alike band, 1964 or the Dark Star Orchestra playing Grateful Dead music. In order to become a good tribute band, each individual in the group must sound and look nearly identical to someone in the original band.
Cover bands are a little different and play a certain decade or time period like 60′s music or the time when jazz was popular. Many cover bands choose a couple of bands and stick with only their tunes so they can become almost as good as the originals. Cover bands could be an exciting addition to any type of party or celebration.
Unlike a DJ who plays record albums and CD’s, a live band as entertainment at a birthday party would be more interactive and more bang for the buck because people enjoy live music and would be more likely to get up and dance to a live band than simple speaker music.
Additionally, a live birthday party band could take requests from guests who want to hear a certain kind of music. They could also make announcements about the person doing the celebrating while soft music played underneath. There is just something so special about a live band to help commemorate the extraordinary moments of ones life.
